1. Group of Ministers set up to make GST composition scheme more attractive today suggested lowering tax rates for manufacturers and restaurants under the plan to 1 per cent.
Manufacturers pay GST at 2 per cent, the rate for restaurants is 5 per cent. Traders currently pay 1 per cent.

2. GSTR-4 which will be used by composition scheme businesses for filing returns. The utility will be available on GSTN portal soon

3. Reserve Bank Of India (RBI) does not seem to have any official records to prove that it had authorised the issue of new currency notes in denominations of Rs 2,000 and Rs 200, after demonetisation, according to documents available through RTI.
“As per RTI replies provided by the RBI, the country’s central bank has apparently not published any Government Resolution (GR) or a circular till date to issue the new Rs 2,000 and recently, the Rs 200 currency notes,” says Mumbai-based RTI activist M.S. Roy.

Today in one of the event in delhi our prime minister Narendra Modi has launched a new app for payments basically we can see as an upgrade over UPI app.

Its name is BHIM app basically BHIM is short form of Bharat Interface for Money and is an app that lets you make easy and quick payment transactions using UPI or we can say as it enable fast, secure, reliable cashless payments through your mobile phone. It’s much easier than wallets and money is transferred directly from your account to person account you are transferring to.

BHIM is interoperable with other Unified Payment Interface (UPI). Its developed by NPCI(National Payment Corporation of India)

Send money to or receive money from friends, family and customers through a mobile number or payment address.

Register your bank account with BHIM, and set a UPI PIN for the bank account. Your mobile number is your payment address (PA), and you can simply start transacting. Yes! It is that simple.

Transactions are complete within seconds.

There are no charges on transferring money only charges are taken by your bank.

Currently the app is available in IOS and Android platform.

Currently it supports to link only one bank account.

Money can also be sent to non UPI supported banks using IFSC and MMID

You can check your bank balance and transactions details on the go.

You can scan a QR code for faster entry of payment addresses. Merchants can easily print their QR Code for display.

Note the transaction limit is : Maximum of Rs. 10,000 per transaction and Rs. 20,000 within 24 hours.
